Today I will show you how to grill a 1.5 lb. Ribeye on a Himalayan Salt Plate. We are keeping it simple and only using pepper from Knox Dry Rub as the seasoning. We will get enough salt from the Himalyan Salt Plate.
To properly heat the Himalayan Salt Plate, place it on the grill and heat for 20 minutes on indirect heat with the grill on low. Next, turn all the burners on low and let the grill heat for another 20 minutes. Then, finally, turn the grill heat up, so that it reaches 450 degrees.
Add a couple of tablespoons of non-salted butter to the top of the Salt Plate when it is heated. Add your Ribeye to the heated Salt Plate and cook for approximately 4 minutes per side for medium rare.
It’s just that easy.
