Cajun Bacon-Shrimp Burgers with Sriracha-Remoulade Sauce
Remoulade Sauce Ingredients
• 1 cup mayonnaise
• 2 tablespoons stone mustard
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• 1-2 tablespoon ketchup
• 3 tablespoons Ass Kickin’ Sriracha Hot Sauce
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
• 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
• 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
Shrimp Burger Ingredients
• 2 pounds shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed
• 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
• 1/4 teaspoon each salt & pepper
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 2 eggs, whisked
• 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon Tennessee Whiskey Cajun Seasoning
• 1 cup Panko crumbs.
Building the Shrimp Burger Ingredients
• Pretzel Buns
• 5 pieces of fried bacon, diced
• Lettuce
Recipe Instructions
- Place all of the remoulade ingredients, except the Panko crumbs and mixed until well blended.
- Cover sauce and place in the refrigerator until the shrimp burgers are ready.
- Roughly chop about 1/3 of the shrimp (approximately 10 ounces). For medium sized shrimp, cut each shrimp into 3 or 4 pieces.
- Place the remaining (non-chopped) shrimp and remaining ingredients in a blender. Pulse blend until smooth.
- Transfer the shrimp mixture from the blender to a bowl and add the chopped shrimp.
- Add the Panko crumbs and mix well.
- Place the shrimp mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. This will help when making the shrimp burgers.
- Form the shrimp burgers.
- Fry each shrimp burger over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until done.
- Using a toasted pretzel bun, place a piece of lettuce, then shrimp burger on the bun. Add the diced bacon. Then add the remoulade sauce. Serve!
