March 17, 2017
In today’s recipe, I'll show you how to make Bacon-Cajun Shrimp Burgers with a homemade spicy Sriracha Remoulade sauce. We will start with making the remoulade sauce. Then, prepare the Shrimp burgers and get out a frying pan. Now, let’s get started.
Remoulade Sauce Ingredients • 1 cup mayonnaise • 2 tablespoons stone mustard • 2 teaspoons paprika • 1-2 tablespoon ketchup • 3 tablespoons Ass Kickin’ Sriracha Hot Sauce • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic • 1 tablespoon lemon juice • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
Shrimp Burger Ingredients • 2 pounds shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic • 1/4 teaspoon each salt & pepper • 2 green onions, chopped • 2 eggs, whisked • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise • 1 teaspoon lemon juice • 1 tablespoon Tennessee Whiskey Cajun Seasoning • 1 cup Panko crumbs.
Building the Shrimp Burger Ingredients • Pretzel Buns • 5 pieces of fried bacon, diced • Lettuce
Place all of the remoulade ingredients, except the Panko crumbs and mixed until well blended.
Cover sauce and place in the refrigerator until the shrimp burgers are ready.
Roughly chop about 1/3 of the shrimp (approximately 10 ounces). For medium sized shrimp, cut each shrimp into 3 or 4 pieces.
Place the remaining (non-chopped) shrimp and remaining ingredients in a blender. Pulse blend until smooth.
Transfer the shrimp mixture from the blender to a bowl and add the chopped shrimp.
Add the Panko crumbs and mix well.
Place the shrimp mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. This will help when making the shrimp burgers.
Form the shrimp burgers.
Fry each shrimp burger over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until done.
Using a toasted pretzel bun, place a piece of lettuce, then shrimp burger on the bun. Add the diced bacon. Then add the remoulade sauce. Serve!
