Blackberry Honey hails from the common blackberry bush which is a member of the rose family.
This raw, unfiltered honey comes from Douglas County in western Oregon. Here, in the Umpqua Valley between the Oregon coast and the Cascade Mountains, wild blackberry brambles grow in abundance.
Light amber in color, blackberry honey starts with a pleasing sweetness and then finishes with a very distinct blackberry note. It is like enjoying a handful of just picked and very sweet wild blackberries, but without any scrapes or scratches from the thorns.
