Certified Organic Active 15+ Manuka Honey is found only in a few areas of New Zealand.
Manuka is the Maori name for Leptospermum Scoparium, a native tree of New Zealand. Manuka has been used for centuries in traditional Maori folk medicine for treating fevers and colds and healing skin and stomach ailments. Known as "the Healing Honey of the Tea Tree", Manuka possesses strong curative properties derived from powerful antibacterial agents and high mineral content. Manuka Honey is found only in New Zealand.
Active Manuka honey may crystallize, but it will not go bad. If it crystallizes, you can simply apply mild heat. The flavor and color of Manuka honey may vary from season to season according to the climate, foraging areas and apiary.

Active honey contains an additional antibacterial component found only in some Manuka honey. This factor is tested on a scale of 0-20 for antibacterial activity. Diffusing deeper into skin tissues than other honey, Active Manuka can be effective against superbugs like E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Helicobacter pylori.
Therapetic Uses:
- Internally: Take 1-2 teaspoons, 3-4 times per day, 15-20 minutes before meals to combat ulcers and gastritis.
- Sore Throats, Cold or Flu: Coat the thoat with one teaspoon before meals - allow honey to melt in mouth slowly.
- Externally: Use 1 1/2 tablespoons on a 4" X 4" dressing. Make sure there is contact between the wound and the dressing. Change the dressing daily.
Because of Manuka Honey's healing powers, Active Manuka is classified as a Therapeutic Good in Australia (the equivalent to a drug registered and approved by the FDA.)
